Just another story of corporations selling out their employees. Alcan Packaging owned by Rio Tinto sells to Bemis Corporation. Bemis declares that it has bought only assets and all the liabilities including the pension are Rio's problem. Of course Rio says the sale ends the pension and everything is frozen and we are changing all the rules. It looks like we will be lucky to get some amount when we're 65 or 68 years old. So this frozen amount with inflation factored will be worth very little in 10 or 15 years. Globalization is forcing a downward spiral of the American standard of living, God help the next generation!
